Mark C. Shea has been practicing as an attorney since 1996. He graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Olivet Nazarene University in 1992, majoring in business administration and history. He graduated cum laude with a J.D. from Northern Illinois University in 1996 and began working at the Robert E. Nelson Law Office in 1996 after passing the bar exam. He worked at the Robert E. Nelson Law Office until the law firm of Nelson & Shea Ltd. was formed in 2008. In 2015 the name of the law firm was changed to the Law Office of Mark C. Shea, P.C. due to the retirement of Robert E. Nelson.

Mark C. Shea is a member of the Kane County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. He is also a member of and a director of the Fox Valley Estate Planning Council.
